The Reza Band is worn around the neck while sleeping and applies slight external pressure to the cricoid cartilage area, which increases the internal pressure of the upper esophageal sphincter (UES).
Those with LPR have a poorly functioning UES, which can lead to symptoms of regurgitation from the esophagus into the larynx, pharynx, and lungs. Use of the device is intended to reduce LPR symptoms such as chronic throat irritation, cough, hoarse voice, difficulty swallowing, postnasal drip, pneumonia, and sleep disruption.
The Company will re-brand the band as the "Reflux Band" to "better convey the product's benefits."
