IMA URGES FOR ETHICAL PRACTICE BY EVERY DOCTOR BUT SILENT FOR ITS MISDEED

In an open letter to every member Doctor and all Doctors of India on its website ,its central council decision in decemer 16 ,National Conference of State medical council and in inaugural address of PRESIDENT of WORLD MEDICAL ASSOCIATION meeting THERE IS ZERO TOLERANCE FOR MAL PRACTICES BY A DOCTOR IN INDIA or ABROAD. 

In the recently concluded state leadership meeting held in IMA House, Delhi on 1st & 2nd April, 2017, it was unanimously resolved that IMA will have zero tolerance for cuts, commissions, unethical practices and getting money from establishments or pharma companies for no services provided.

If any member is found to indulge in such malpractices, IMA will not stand with the concerned member at the time of action by any appropriate authorities.

IMA also appreciated the ‘no incentive’ schemes already started in Telangana, Kerala, Uttarakhand, West Bengal and Tamil Nadu. Others are requested to issue the same directions to their members.

The same decision was also taken in the National Conference of State Medical Council, which was held on 25th & 26th March, 2017 in Delhi.

The same is also as per IMA policy decision at the Central Council in December 2016 at Amritsar and the WMA President Dr Ketan Desai inaugural address in October at Taipei in 2016.

This being an important issue, you are hereby directed to inform all the members of your respective branch to follow the same as urged by Dr KK Aggarwal,President, Dr RN Tandon,Hony Secy Gen, of IMA HQ New Delhi.

         what will be decision of IMA & MCI as most medical conferences of starting from those of IMA to that of General Practitioner,every specialist starting from anaestetist,physicians,surgeons, cardiologists, pathologists,dermatologist etc are sponsored by PHARMA COMPANY .These companies arrange all the scientific programmes and on going medical educations seminars,workshops,paper presentation in 3-5 star hotels where starting from breakfast,gala lunch,dinner,then banquest lashed with mouth watering cocktails are sonsored by these companies.Not only this THESE COMPANIES bring out their scientific books,journals or sponsored booklet so that indirect money is provided to DOCTORS for doing their annual association meeting or alumini get together .Many companies put very big stalls and sell their instruments,pathological kits,books,medicines openly in such meeting and conferences .Few doctors are provided with their spouse and childrens free air tickets to move not only in India but also abroad and arrange for their stay,side seen tours and transport fare beside hefty costly gifts.Many doctors are brought from foreign countries as these companies sponsor their air fare,stay and side seen tours.

     UNTIL IMA & mci clear such pictures as even their conferences are sponsored by big pharma companies and many doctors have done many unethical things to be selected in IMA or MCI as evident from many stories running in social media ,MERE ZERO TOLERANCE APPEAR A SLOGAN FOR OTHERS WHILE YOU BEING ENJOY EVERY UNETHICAL THING AND KEEP UP IN SUCH GOVERNING BODIES BY HOOK OR CROOK BREAKING EVERY NORM is a pure GYAN FOR OTHERS WHERE SMALL AND MEDIOKARS WILL BE CAUGHT BUT TOP WILL ENJOY EVERYTHING AS EVIDENT IN OUR SOCIETY IN EVERY FIELD WHETHER POLITICS,TEACHERS,SCIENTISTS,ARMY ,ENGINEERS ,LAWYERS, BUREUCRATS,JUDGES ETC
