In the undiagnosed,people donot know their HIV status as often forget to get tested after unsafe sex or contamination in hospital or at home during treatment ,needle prick or blood transfusion or drug addicts or otherwise migrating people and some time in home due to condidence in partner never thinks of HIV.fOR THEM, there's been progress: making HIV testing easier has resulted in a great reduction in those who have HIV but don't know it. mANY EDUCATION IS SPREAD AND UNIVERSAL TESTING OR SELECTING TESTING FOR PREGNANT MOTHER,BLOOD DONORS,TB PATIENTS,PATIENTS OF STDS OR DRIVERS AND MIGRATORY PEOPLE ETC RESULT IN EARLY DETECTION.
The latest data from CDC have just been published, and we're down to just 14%. Yes, 14% is still too high -- and it's up to 25% undiagnosed in certain regions (we're looking at you Louisiana) -- but it's a vast improvement over the 30-40% estimates we were seeing 10 years ago.
And in many regions, it's now < 10%. Meaning that more than 90% of those with HIV know that they have it, and can get on treatment, prolong their lives, and stop spreading the virus to others.
Now, about that much bigger other group -- 30-40% or so of those with HIV in the USA -- who know they have HIV and aren't getting care and treatment.
tHIS GROUP spread HIV randomly as they hide it due to criminality of LGBT OR MSM OR DRUG PEDDLARS OR COMMERIAL SEX WORKERS AS LOOSING THEIR ECONOMY so spread HIV very much,they often mislead by Herbal treatment or other treatment which is not that effective and often leads to recurrances .Therfore such people also suffer from secondary or oppurunistic infections as no precaution taken as immunity declines disease advances.
SO IT IS VERY ESSENTIAL TO BRING THEM TO PROPER TREATMENT SOON AND ONCE TREATMENT STARTS THEN REGULAR FOLLOW UP BY BLOOD TESTS,OF GNERAL BLOOD TESTS,EXCUDING OPPURTUNISTIC INFECTIONS AND MONITORING THEIR VIRAL LOAD AND IMMUNITY BY CD4 BY GOOD ADHERANCE AND DRUG SENSITIVITY.
