Even in government hospital until tertiary care hospital or media scrutiny most hospitals try to refer them to other big hospitals or delay or refuse their treatment due to same fear,even in tertiary care hospitals Nurses and staff donot provide the sincere service given to other patients due to fear which must be cleared by proper counselling of such doctors and staff as HIV is not that infectious if we takes some minimum precautions as we deny them treatment we put HIV patients for increased morbidty and mortality.

HIV patients are not treated properly in both Government and Private hospitals,most Private hospitals donot admit them at all and treat in opd too as saying that there is no facility for such treatment as expert is lacking but it is a simple trick to send these patients to government sector as most doctors and staff donot want to take any risk of getting them infected by treating them or doesnot take risk of infecting their other patients by admitting such patients,all these are false believes of Doctors and staff which should be removed.

Recenetly an HIV positive pregnant woman was denied treatment by doctors of the district hospital in Madhya Pradesh's Tikamgarh which led to the death of their newborn twins, her husband has alleged. Hospital officials, however, have termed the charge as baseless.The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Thursday issued a notice to the Madhya Pradesh government, terming the incident as the "worst example of cruelty" after her twins died soon after their birth yesterday allegedly due to apathy of the hospital Doctors and staff.
The 24-year-old woman, said to be a Dalit, allegedly delivered outside the maternity ward after being turned away.The hospital, however, said the babies were "premature" and they could not be saved due to "inadequate equipment and medical expertise".The woman's husband contested the hospital's claims. "My wife and the newborn twin girls were not given treatment at the district hospital after she was found to be HIV positive," he alleged."The doctors and staff told me that they would not treat her because of the HIV infection. Our newborn girls could have been saved had they been treated in time," he alleged. Dandotiya said the twins were born premature in the seventh month and weighed about 500 grams each.

"Before her delivery, the woman was told that the foetuses were under-developed. We suggested family members to take her to neighbouring Jhansi or any other town, but they insisted on getting treated here."It was not possible to save the infants due to inadequate equipment and expertise here," the civil surgeon said.The NHRC has sought a detailed report within four weeks, along with details of the action taken against the guilty doctors and staff of the hospital.The commission said despite her advanced pregnancy, the woman was "referred to a hospital at Jhansi and pushed out of the maternity ward".
Whatever may be a real reason but what husband is telling is a reality as why she delived outside of delivery room and how a patient in active labor can be shifted to a far hospital ,doctors and staff should change their attitude to treat HIV patients in India due to their unreasonable unscientific fear as in all pvt hospitals and even in government hospitals HIV test is done without any counselling against NACO and WHO guidline and once HIV is found mostly operations or deliveries are either not done putting false statement of unavailability of expert,instruments or machine or facilities or is delayed too much on same ground pressurising patients to go to another hospital in Government setup and in private hospitals no operartion or surgery or delivery of these patients is done.
Will NHRC or Media pressure compell doctors and staff to treat HIV patients or Doctors and Health Staff will come forward themselves to treat such patients as they are treating dreadly ZIKA,Ebola,Swine flu ,influenza etc virus disease patients comfortablyCRUEL,so why hesistating to treat HIV Patients ?
