ROUDY ASSAULTING DOCTORS MUST BE PUNISHED AS PERSONS JAILED IN MP

Attacks on Doctors are now almost in all Hospitals and Nursing Homes in every part of Our country.For any reason without understanding any thing if an uproar is made in opd,ipd,outside ot, icu, labs,usg /ctscan/mri/echo/cardiac lab room ,anywhere if patient or attendants feel unsatisfied for lack of any service as per their understanding beside reactions expressed if condition of patient deterioates or patient expires.Even our Priminister and President has raised concern recently for this attitude of roudy public toward Doctors.They categorically said in Civilised society it is not accepted and can be tolerated.tw

           In most situation,doctors especiaily Resident doctors are not a fault.In Government Hospital many patients fast and best service free of cost and quck and full recovery of their patients.In private hospital Mostly the blame is money charged so if any complication or untoward condition develops,such assaults are inflicted to get rid of charged money and further payment.Whatever may be the reason in our country or any where no body can take law in hand ,if there is any dissatisfication with Doctors or Hospitals,there are police stations to lodge FIR to fight for justice in court ,to report to media,NGO and poliitical leaders but most donot adopt this way but resort to assaulting Doctors.

                          The main reason behind this,being in noble profession of treating patients as Doctor and being patient undergoing treatment under them ,Doctors remain silent and donot retort and reply in the same way as these law breaking mongers assault.Secondly Police,Administration,Media,Politicians,NGOs all take side of patient as he /she is patient and is suffering or died.Even after assaulting Doctors physically where some doctors become very serious and much of the Hospital property is completely damaged and broken causing a loss from thousand to lacs,police usually put  charges under mild IPC act ,so a strong charge sheet is not put before court or police mediate in most cases to diffuse it as crisis and doctors and Hospital agree to it.Even in Court justice is so much delayed from Local to District ,high and supreme court that it is almost denied.                               

                    In what can be considered as a justice for the medical profession, a local court in the Datia District in Madhya Pradesh was seen strong cognizance on the issue of violence against doctors, and announcing action against two persons who assaulted three medical practitioners at a government hospital two years ago. Chief Judicial Magistrate Datia, Nisar Ahmad has sentenced two accused who were booked for assaulting the Doctors and staff of district hospital with 1 year of imprisonment and a fine f Rs one thousand each.The Accused brought her serious wife in Disctirct hospital as she expired her husband and relatives assaulted doctors,nurses and damaged many properties of Hospital.

      In year 2016,BJP MP Naranbhai Kachhadia was sentenced to three years imprisonment by a court in Amreli for assaulting a doctor at a government hospital in 2013 in Gujrat.Judge D R Bhatt also imposed a fine of Rs 35,000 on the two-term MP from Amreli.In january 2017,BJP MP Ananth Kumar Hegde was Friday booked for assaulting doctors at a private hospital at Sirsi in Karnataka’s Uttara Kannada district. Hegde was caught on camera attacking three doctors at the Totagarara Seva Samiti Hospital over alleged delay in attending to his mother, who had broken her leg. Same way Police reigstered cases but never takes it to a logical state ,so there is a perception in the public that by assaulting Doctors nothing will happen and as their case will be highlighted so they will not be required to pay charges in pvt hospitals and in Government they feel the culprit is doctor or nurses or paramedical staff so they get satisfication by beating them as they think they have got justice by damaging doctors and hospital.

               In recent study by IMA many Doctors are unsatisfied with their profession due to such assault and donot want to continue their profession.So as concerned by our PM and President ,it is high time that both State and central Government should instruct Administration to book any body immediately assualting doctors and damaging hospitals as many state Government has passed stringent law against attackers but in practice it is not folowed.All Doctors along with Nursing staffs and Paramedical workers must lodge a stringent protest immediately under IMA or other Associations of Doctors,Nurses and Workers.

           All should raise voice as done recently for few attacks on social media and local press .Our leaders, Administration  and Government never listen until we bring processions,stop working and gives memorandum to them by coming in public.Doctors and hospital should never sit in any compromise with offenders under any pressure of administration,political parties and leaders.In many recent happening in some states, Doctors associated with ruling political party always want to supress such incidences which should be overruled by our Associations and these Doctor's body should fight these offenders in court for long term so they really get harsh punishment,sothat in future no body attack doctors or health staffs and damage hospital property.
